The Google toolbar saves all of your personal searches so that when you type a search query, it can guess what you are typing and offer suggestions in real-time. Unfortunately, this has caused many privacy concerns for users. Not only does it permit Google to collect personal private data for those using the Google toolbar, but the history is made easily available to anyone with access to that computer. Fortunately for those with privacy concerns, Goolge toolbar search history can be deleted and this feature can be turned off.

How to Delete Google Toolbar History
To manually delete your search history on the Google toolbar, simply click on the dropdown arrow on the right side of the search box and then click Clear History.
How to Turn Off Google Toolbar History
Google Toolbar 5- Open your web browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox)
- On the toolbar (all the way to the right), click on the wrench icon
- Select Options…
- Select the tab labeled Search (if not already selected)
- Uncheck the box next to Store search history on my computer
- Optional: If you do not wish to have any search suggestions, uncheck the box next to Suggest searches as you type
- Click Save
- Open your web browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox)
- On the toolbar (all the way to the right), select Settings
- Select Options…
- Select the tab labeled Features (if not already selected)
- Click on Search Box Settings…
- Uncheck the box next to Suggest searches from my search history
- Optional: If you do not wish to have any search suggestions, uncheck the box next to Suggest popular searches
- Click OK
- Click OK
