This season, there is great news for iPad lovers, as Apple is set to launch the next version of, The ipad 2. First it was just rumored, but now it is a fact that Apple would be officially announcing iPad 2 in an event this week after iPhone Verizon hits the floor. Wall Street Journal has revealed that the production of the latest iPad has already begun.

The device will be having a front-facing camera, and will be much sleeker than its predecessor. It will have a faster CPU, a better and upgraded graphics processor, and will also have more memory. There won’t be much difference in both iPads except for some applications and modules and the GSM-CDMA radio chip, reveals a source. Unlike the original, the new iPad 2 will not have a retina display screen and the resolution may also be similar, according to 9to5Mac.
The gadget will face tough competition, as HP too revealed its dual-core Touchpad. But, Apple is in no hurry for its release, late this month, and aims to produce millions of iPads this year. It is also indicated that iPad2 will be available only through AT&T and Verizon carriers in the US. Other rumors also indicate that the new iPad may be buttonless, Wi-Fi, UMTS and CDMA versions will be released and that it may also feature a smudge proof screen.
